Overview
Solo Journey is built by Khan Tech LLC. We take your privacy seriously. Your journal entries and personal data are yours — we don't sell, share, or use them for advertising.
Data we collect
- Account info. Email address, name (optional), and authentication credentials.
- Journal entries. The content you write, including text and metadata.
- Usage data. Feature usage counts for quota tracking (e.g., number of AI requests).
- Login history. Timestamps, platform, and IP address for security auditing.
- Payment info. Processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.
How we use your data
- To provide and improve the Solo Journey experience.
- To generate AI-powered reflections and guidance based on your entries.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send essential account-related emails (verification, password reset, payment receipts).
- To detect and fix technical issues via error monitoring. Error reports are automatically scrubbed of journal content before leaving our servers.
AI processing
When you use AI features, your journal content is processed by Anthropic's Claude models via AWS Bedrock. Your data is not stored by the AI provider and is not used to train AI models.
Data storage
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States, encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not share your data with any third party other than AWS (hosting), Stripe (payments), and Sentry (error monitoring, scrubbed of personal content).
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Account settings screen.
- Your account is immediately deactivated.
- Your data is retained for 30 days in case you change your mind.
- After 30 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted, including your Stripe customer record.
- Any unused portion of your paid subscription is automatically refunded.
To cancel a deletion within the 30-day window, contact us at contact@khantech.dev.
Your rights
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
- If you need a copy of your data, contact us at contact@khantech.dev and we will provide it.
- We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics.
